Curious Pictures in NYC is a diversified entertainment company dedicated to creative expression
in all shapes and forms. Curious directors, designers, artists, and animators create and produce
television programs, commercials, graphics, and toys for a diverse array of clients worldwide.

Animators - 2D and 3D
You like to make things move - You are a performer who wants to do everything from character and FX to motion graphics.
You draw boards and are comfortable behind the camera. Find elegance in animating a string.
Plays nicely with mocap. It does not matter what software you speak, if any at all.
Just show us motion that needs no words.

Technical Director/Animator
You’re an animator at heart, but love to set things up. Dress them up. Cut their hair. Make ‘em
smoke or catch fire. You design a camera move as well as you track one. Know where to draw
the line between 3D and 2D. Not afraid to run Maya from the command line, but can’t live without
a tablet. Versed in CG production from scripting to dropping keys. Comfortable in pipelines from
concept to final image.

CG Art Director Lighting/Compositing
You like to make things look good. Design and produce the photo real to super stylized. Paint
textures and write shaders. Have a strong eye for color and finishing shots. Speak
Maya - Mental Ray and have general 3D skills that you like to flex.

Motion Graphics Designer/Compositor
You see the world as a digital canvas. Have strong compositing skills but would prefer to be
designing. Love 3D but can make it happen in 2.5 or less.

Compositor/Motion Graphics Artists
You animate as well as you cut or key a solid matte. Like shooting on set as much as playing
with the pixels later. Can build a 2D scene and then make it come alive. Want to do all kinds of work.

Generalists
All of these jobs sound appealing and don’t want to choose. Like to perform but also want to
make it look good. Can take a shot from start to finish letting the final image dictate your technique.

Curious will be hiring Staff and Freelance in the next 2 to 12 months.
